All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

Just A Minute was quick to being.

Sahara Castle and Ronnie Armo collided approaching the first turn checking Ronnie Armo.  Rock Singer and Yield collided entering the back straight checking Rock Singer.  Sahara Castle and Yield collided on the third turn and again approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Rock Singer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Ronnie Armo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3. Ronnie Armo was found to have a left monkey muscle.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Chris Armstrong, the trainer regarding the greyhound’s performance in home straight.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Ronnie Armo must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lilly's Stripey – New declared weight of 29.6 kg, last raced at 27.7 kg. 

Supreme Shine was quick to begin.

Small Cakes, That's Life and Select Moss collided on the first turn checking That's Life.  Lilly's Stripey and Letter To You collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Later On checked off Supreme Shine on the first turn.  Lilly's Stripey raced wide on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Later On - winner of the event. 

Ms Deborah Coleman failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Zipping Bronte for racing. A fine of $100 was issued pursuant to GAR 46(2).

Invictus Xavier – New declared weight of 33.2 kg, last raced at 34.6 kg.

Crawl Back was slow to begin.

Invictus Xavier crossed out soon after the start and collided with Mrs. Tropicana.  Crawl Back and Mrs. Tropicana collided on the home turn. 

The Stewards declared this event a “No Race” in accordance with GAR 56 due to the lure breaking down on the third turn. All bets refunded in full.  The weights recorded for the greyhounds are void and do not count for the purposes of the weight rule at the greyhounds’ next start. The event was then abandoned, with prizemoney to be split evenly between the competing greyhounds.

Following an on track collision, Krakatoa was pronounced deceased by the On-Track Veterinarian, which will be the subject of further investigation.

Piece Of Heaven underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion the left wrist. No stand down period was imposed.

Blazer Nation underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have a laceration to the head.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Shining Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have a swollen and bruised maxilla, possible nasal bone/septum fracture.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Big City Nights underwent a post-race veterinary examination was found to have a a left carpal sprain.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
