Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sahara Castle.
Just A Minute was quick to being.
Sahara Castle and Ronnie Armo collided approaching the first turn checking Ronnie Armo. Rock Singer and Yield collided entering the back straight checking Rock Singer. Sahara Castle and Yield collided on the third turn and again approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.
Rock Singer underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Ronnie Armo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3. Ronnie Armo was found to have a left monkey muscle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Chris Armstrong, the trainer regarding the greyhound’s performance in home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Ronnie Armo must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
