Steward's Report
All persons attending today undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, checked in, observed social distance requirements, and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lilly's Stripey.
Miss Moppet was quick to begin.
Limerance and Lilly's Stripey collided approaching the 300m mark checking both greyhounds. Hurricane Max and Lilly's Stripey collided approaching the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Bowler's Name shifted out approaching the home turn and collided with Pete, checking Bowler's Name, Pete, Lilly's Stripey and Miss Moppet. Hurricane Max and Bowler's Name collided approaching the home turn.
Bowler's Name underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury ws reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Peter Borradale regarding the racing manners of Bowler's Name approaching the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Borradale, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn.
Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative, Ms Maria Barber regarding the racing manners of Pete approaching the home turn. After hearing evidence from Ms Barber, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Ms Barber advised stewards that the greyhound would be considered for retirement following today's run.
