Steward's Report
Tiger's Twenty and Spring Candice collided soon after the start. Melville Bale turned its head outwards soon after the start. Melville Bale and Shima Pearl collided on the first turn. Melville Bale and Sierra Foxtrot collided approaching the winning post.
Melville Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8, no apparent injury could be detected. Stewards spoke to Mr Shaun Coulson the representative of Melville Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Melville Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Melville Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
