Steward's Report
Consumption began awkwardly and was very slow to begin (4L).
Will's Bella, Blackpool Rex, King Chad and Princess Barcia collided approaching the first turn checking Blackpool Rex, King Chad and Princess Barcia. Princess Barcia checked off King Chad approaching the home turn. Gecko Fernando and Consumption collided entering the home straight. Blackpool Rex raced wide in the home straight. Will's Bella and Princess Barcia collided in the home straight.
Will's Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination at trainer's request - no apparent injury was reported.
Princess Barcia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg carpal sprain wrist injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Shaun Coulson regarding the racing manners of Princess Barcia in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Coulson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
