Frainy's Well was slow to begin.
My Names Joe and Good Girl Gracie collided soon after the start. Chasing Love, My Names Joe and Good Girl Gracie collided at the 250m mark. Cheap Shot turned its head inwards and crossed in at the 250m mark. Good Girl Gracie and Chasing Love collided several times from the 200m mark to the 150m mark. My Name's Joe and Cheap Shot collided at the 100m mark. My Name's Joe galloped on Cheap Shot at the 50m mark.
Cheap Shot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and spike wounds to the left hind leg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Christopher Watson regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 250m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Cheap Shot was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Watson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cheap Shot was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
