All persons attending today, checked-in and provided satisfactory evidence of double vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination directions (as of 26 November 2021) that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 31.5 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 17 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy. 

The Stewards were advised that the track was medium harrowed on 25 November 2021.

The start was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to no transmission from Sky Channel.   

Ava's Journey was slow to begin.

Aston Arena and Texan Galore collided approaching the first turn checking Texan Galore.  Mr. Fawnstone, Moonlit Jewel and Texan Galore collided on the first turn checking Texan Galore.  Greysynd Clipper, Nyah Nyah Flyer and Aston Arena collided approaching the home turn checking Greysynd Clipper and Aston Arena.  Ava's Journey raced wide on the home turn.

Trainer Mr Jeffrey Guy who had two runners engaged (Sanctioned and Tango Temptation), advised Stewards that Tango Temptation was withdrawn due to triangle soreness.

A pre-race sample was taken from Crymelon Tactile.

Consumption and Drop A Line were slow to begin.

Lektra Lad and Speedy Mouse collided soon after the start.  Crymelon Tactile and Maximum Sam collided soon after the start.  Crymelon Tactile checked off Maximum Sam on the first turn checking Sanctioned.  Sanctioned and Lektra Lad collided on the first turn checking Sanctioned and Maximum Sam.  Crymelon Tactile and Sanctioned collided on the home turn.  Lektra Lad and Drop A Line collided in the home straight. 

Run Home Jack – Late scratching at 9:29am when trainer Mr Rodney Clark reported the greyhound to have a toe injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hannah's Tiger and Majestic Jewel were slow to begin.

Ava's Prediction and Majestic Jewel collided on the first turn.  Cherry Ola Baby and Lochinvar Jazz collided approaching the home turn.  Ava's Prediction raced wide on the home turn and collided with Cherry Ola Baby.  

All Inn Olivia was slow to begin.

Pandorica and Trenzalore collided soon after the start.  All Inn Olivia and Blue Redeemer collided approaching the home turn.  Pandorica and Trenzalore collided approaching the home turn.  Weblec Opal checked off Emma's Image approaching the home turn.  Pandorica and Al's Son collided on the home turn.  Pandorica and Weblec Opal collided several times in the home straight.

All Inn Olivia underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Hatters Lane was slow to begin.

Banjo Bert and Oriental Amber collided on the first turn checking Banjo Bert.  Hatters Lane checked off Banjo Bert on the home turn and raced wide.  Hojilla Bale and Blackpool Bolt collided approaching the winning post.  

Westside Warrior, Ben Mayo and She Can Excite were slow to begin.

Westside Warrior, Swift Brittany and Killashandra collided on the first turn severely checking Swift Brittany, Ben Mayo and She Can Excite; in turn causing Swift Brittany to stumble, Ben Mayo to stumble and pull up.

Swift Brittany underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions and contusion to the left hind leg.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Ben Mayo underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left scapula fracture.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Suni.

Josie Wags was quick to begin. 

Crackerjack Suni checked off Spring Value soon after the start checking Fab Motto.  Rahela Bale, Typhoon Bolt and Spring Value collided approaching the first turn checking Spring Value.  Crackerjack Suni checked off More Speed approaching the first turn.  Crackerjack Suni, Spring Value and Fab Motto collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Suni and Spring Value.  

Sweet Emily and Jetta's Shout collided on the first turn checking Jetta's Shout.  Rezzie's Shout and Mahogany Queen collided approaching the home turn.  Clean Slate and Rezzie's Shout collided on the home turn.  Aston Ryker and Clean Slate raced wide in the home straight.  Eagle Boy raced wide throughout the event.

Wheelin' In and Nitro Tommy collided soon after the start.  Wheelin' In, Nitro Tommy, Tilly Divine and Awesome Value collided on the first turn checking Wheelin' In.  Sassenach and Magnis Bale collided approaching the home turn.  Tilly Divine and Awesome Value collided on the home turn.  Nitro Tommy raced wide on the home turn colliding with Magnis Bale and Sassenach.

Nitro Tommy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Garry George regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr. George, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.

Lips Boloney and Your Embrace collided on the first turn checking Lips Boloney.  Spring Empire and Coco To Burn collided on the first turn.  Your Embrace and Cawbourne Coco collided in the home straight.  

Just Admit It was slow to begin.  

Abby's Illusion, Lara Diamond and Magnet Force collided approaching the first turn checking Lara Diamond and Magnet Force.  Magnet Force checked off Jabba Bolt on the first turn checking Lara Diamond, Magnet Force and Mahogany Storm.  Abby's Illusion and Just Admit It collided on the first turn severely checking Just Admit It.  Abby's Illusion raced wide on the home turn.  

Where's Goose – Late scratching at 12:33pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed after Trainer Mr P. Lenehan informed Stewards that he had an air conditioning breakdown prior to leaving for the track.  Stewards advised Mr. Lenehan that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival.  The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Nangar Troy and Sugar Shane were slow to begin.

Silver Compass, Nangar Troy and Sugar Shane collided on the first turn.  Silver Compass and Nangar Troy collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

A post-race sample was taken from Mouthy Boof - winner of the event.   

Stewards opened an inquiry with trainer Mr Gregory Schofield, after Mr Schofield failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Nangar Troy for racing, this inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed. A pre race sample which was to be taken from the greyhound Nangar Troy, was unable to be taken to due Mr Schofield's late arrival at the kennels, a post-race sample was subsequently taken from the greyhound Nangar Troy, which was unplaced in the event.

Stewards opened an inquiry with trainer Mr Gregory Schofield,regarding his conduct following race 12. After taking evidence from Mr Schofield and relevant witnessess, this inquiry was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
