Steward's Report
Dusty's Dream– Late scratching at 7.38am when Ms. Jacqueline Greenough reported the greyhound to have a calf injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Moonlight Kiss was slow to begin.
Exit Sign checked off Wild One Mikado in the front straight. Moonlight Kiss and Exit Sign collided on the first turn. Wild One Mikado and Naughty But Nice collided on the first turn checking Naughty But Nice. Moonlight Kiss checked off Naughty But Nice approaching the second turn. Exit Sign lost ground from the third turn and subsequently tailed off.
Exit Sign underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Nathan Hunt regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Exit Sign must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
