Dusty's Dream– Late scratching at 7.38am when Ms. Jacqueline Greenough reported the greyhound to have a calf injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Moonlight Kiss was slow to begin.

Exit Sign checked off Wild One Mikado in the front straight. Moonlight Kiss and Exit Sign collided on the first turn. Wild One Mikado and Naughty But Nice collided on the first turn checking Naughty But Nice. Moonlight Kiss checked off Naughty But Nice approaching the second turn. Exit Sign lost ground from the third turn and subsequently tailed off.

Exit Sign underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Nathan Hunt regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Exit Sign must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Moraine Izzy and Blazin' Sushi were quick to begin.

My Envy and Sunstruck collided soon after the start checking Sunstruck. My Envy checked off Dorellie Love on the first turn and collided with Sitizano Rocks. Rio Bailey and Blazin' Sushi collided approaching the second turn. Dorellie Love, Sunstruck, Sitizano Rocks and Blazin' Sushi collided on the fourth turn checking Dorellie Love, Sunstruck and Blazin' Sushi.

Mazikeen Smith – Late scratching at 10.13am after a transfer of bonafides application was submitted to Stewards. In withdrawing the greyhound, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will also require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20 (3) (v), stating that Mazikeen Smith is fit to race, before any future nomination will be accepted.

East Street was quick to begin.

Zipping Hunter and Samp De Keats were slow to begin.

Gunnadoo Grace checked off East Street approaching the home turn and collided with I'm Not Budging. Gunnadoo Grace and I'm Not Budging collided entering the home straight.

Gunnadoo Grace underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a thoraco-lumbar injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Tim Britton regarding the racing manners of Gunnadoo Grace on the home turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr Britton, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.

Nimble Blaze and Trout collided soon after the start. Aston Nino and Trout collided on the first turn. Roxy Tequila checked off Trout entering the back straight. Nimble Blaze checked off Trout on the third turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Coterie - the winner of the event.

Rezzie's Choice and Migration were slow to begin.

West Song and Crispy Duck collided approaching the first turn checking She Can Excite. Crispy Duck checked off Migration approaching the second turn checking She Can Excite. Rezzie's Choice, Crispy Duck and She Can Excite collided on the third turn checking She Can Excite and Rezzie's Choice.

You Ember was quick to begin. Chase Me Honey was slow to begin.

People Get Ready galloped on the heels of Sweet Petit approaching the first turn. Ripplebrook Glen and Chase Me Honey collided on the first turn. Don't Start Now tired from the third turn.

Don't Start Now underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left tendon injury and right quadriceps injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Supplementary Report

The Meadows 13/11/2021

Auspicious Queen - Presented today at Sandown for a veterinarian examination. No apparent injury was reported. Stewards inquired into the reasons for the greyhound not being presented to the OTV at The Meadows yesterday. After considering the explanantion provided by Mr. P. Abela, the nature of the request and his offence record, Mr Abela was issued a warning on this occassion pursuant to GAR 42(2).
