Steward's Report
Aston Ariarne was quick to begin. Pechey’s Girl and Darnum Diva collided approaching the first turn. Aston Ariarne crossed out on the first turn and checked off Zambora Alani, colliding with Sunstruck, checking Pechey’s Girl, Darnum Diva and Zambora Alani, severely checking Aston Ariarne and Sunstruck. Pechey’s Girl and Darnum Diva collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Orca and What Could Be collided several times in the back straight. Orca and What Could Be collided several times in the home straight.
Orca underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Nagy, the trainer of Orca regarding the greyhound’s performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Orca must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Darnum Diva underwent a post race veterinary examination after the greyhound fell after the winning post, no apparent injury was reported.
A post race sample was taken from Zambora Alani - winner of the event.
