Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Simon Says.
Elliott Ness was slow to begin. Simon Says was checked off Soda Diamond approaching the first turn. Soda Pee Wee and Two Phones collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Elliott Ness was checked off Soda Pee Wee on the first turn. Two Phones and Soda Pee Wee collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds, Soda Pee Wee subsequently tailed off. Two Phones crossed out on the home turn and checked off Star Night.
Soda Pee Wee underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of Race 10, a participant had fallen from a transport vehicle near the track. Due to the severity of the fall, paramedics were called to attend. After going back several timeslots and prioritising the participant's welfare, the remaining races (Races 11 & 12) were abandoned at 9.50pm.
