Steward's Report
Mepunga Mustang, Hushing Dusk and Harrigan collided soon after the start checking Hushing Dusk. Alfie Alligator crossed in on the first turn checking Harrigan, causing Harrigan to lose ground checking Snapper Smith, Soda Titan and Broadway Benny. Mepunga Mustang checked off Hushing Dusk approaching the second turn. Alfie Alligator and Soda Titan collided approaching the home turn. Mepunga Mustang checked off Soda Titan approaching the home turn. Mepunga Mustang and Snapper Smith collided on the home turn. Alfie Alligator, Dundee Ember and Soda Titan collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr Maxwell Auld (via telephone), the trainer of Soda Titan after they left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound vetted following the event. Stewards issued Mr. Auld with a warning pursuant to GAR 42 (2) and directed Mr. Auld to produce Soda Titan tomorrow at Shepparton Greyhound Racing Club for a veterinary examination.
Snapper Smith underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have split webbing to the front right foot. A 10 day stand down period was impsoed.
Post-race samples were taken from Hushing Dusk (1st) & Snapper Smith (2nd).
