Torpedo Tears, Disco Riot and Aratuza Bale collided soon after the start. Gypsy Urana, Torpedo Tears and Disco Riot collided on the first turn. Torpedo Tears and Disco Riot collided entering the front straight and again on the second turn. Torpedo Tears checked off Disco Riot on the third turn.
Torpedo Tears underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg calf and shin soreness injuries. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
