Steward's Report
Nicky Mustang was slow to begin.
Tiggerlong Car and Flying Nancy collided soon after the start. Rocket Power and Calix Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Rocket Power. Fabriola Zero, Calix Bale and Americano Miss collided on the first turn checking Americano Miss, Tiggerlong Car and Flying Nancy. Flying Nancy eased approaching the home turn and pulled up as a result. Tiggerlong Car raced wide in the home straight.
Flying Nancy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to her left monkey muscle, left triangle muscle and left hamstring, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr. D. Elliot regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Flying Nancy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Elliot pleaded guilty to the charge, Flying Nancy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
