Steward's Report
Indy Ghost, Gypsy Vista and Trendy Universe collided soon after the start checking Indy Ghost and Gypsy Vista. Ricky Racoon and Gypsy Vista collided approaching the first turn. Trendy Universe, Roxy Ouzo and Weblec Thunder collided on the first turn. Roxy Ouzo checked off Trendy Universe entering the home straight.
Following the event Dream Wizard displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria. A 3 day stand down penalty was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr S Lithgow, the trainer of Dream Wizard. After hearing submissions, the Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and Dream Wizard must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, plus a veterinary clearance of fitness before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Dream Wizard - the winner of the event.
