Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Seabrook Dow and Swift Twitch were quick to begin. Lyrical Dad and Major Flood were slow to begin.

Blackpool Cheeky and Major Flood collided soon after the start checking Major Flood. Blackpool Cheeky checked off Conroy approaching the first turn checking Major Flood. Seabrook Dow, Nomad Road and Conroy collided approaching the home turn. Nomad Road and Conroy collided on the home turn. Blackpool Cheeky raced wide on the home turn. Nomad Road checked off Conroy in the home straight.

Quinetta Bale – Late scratching at 11;42am when trainer Samantha Grenfell reported the greyhound to have abrasions. (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Slingshot Mia and Basmati were quick to begin.

Sorinder Bale and Aston Nicola collided soon after the start. Sorinder Bale and Aston Nicola collided approaching the first turn. Dance To Forget brushed the running rail on the first turn. Dance To Forget and Aston Nicola collided entering the home straight. Dance To Forget and Aston Nicola collided in the home straight.

Big John, Winnie Coaster and Zipping Wreck collided soon after the start checking Winnie Coaster and Zipping Wreck. Vortex and Big John collided on the first turn checking Zipping Wreck. Zipping Wreck and Big John collided approaching the home turn. Blackpool Homer and Winnie Coaster collided on the home turn.

Big John underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainers request and was found to have abrasions to the front right toe. No stand down period was imposed.

Nicky Mustang was slow to begin.

Tiggerlong Car and Flying Nancy collided soon after the start. Rocket Power and Calix Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Rocket Power. Fabriola Zero, Calix Bale and Americano Miss collided on the first turn checking Americano Miss, Tiggerlong Car and Flying Nancy. Flying Nancy eased approaching the home turn and pulled up as a result. Tiggerlong Car raced wide in the home straight. 

Flying Nancy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to her left monkey muscle, left triangle muscle and left hamstring, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr. D. Elliot regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Flying Nancy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Elliot pleaded guilty to the charge, Flying Nancy was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this race was delayed 1 minute to allow track staff to clear wildlife from the track.

Crumb Snags and Westar Manson were slow to begin.

Mick's Kimmy and Arby's Lucy collided soon after the start. Yahoo Serious, Arby's Lucy, Mick's Kimmy and Orca collided approaching the first turn checking Mick's Kimmy and Arby's Lucy. Mick's Kimmy, Arby's Lucy and Crumb Snags collided on the first turn. Crumb Snags checked off Mick's Kimmy approaching the third turn checking Westar Manson. 

Westar Manson underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Shaw, trainer of Westar Manson regarding the greyhound's performance in this event. Stewards also noted that Westar Manson was stepping up in distance from it's recent starts . Mr. Shaw stated that he had trialled Westar Manson last week over a comparable distance  and expected a more forward showing from the greyhound. Mr. Shaw added, that in his opinion, Westar Manson may improve in distance events with further racing.

Seabrook Stack and Have A Roadie collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Sailor's Girl checked off Aston Value on the first turn. Hendrik Bale and Have A Roadie collided approaching the home turn. Bearing Gold checked off Sailor's Girl in the home straight.

Indy Ghost, Gypsy Vista and Trendy Universe collided soon after the start checking Indy Ghost and Gypsy Vista. Ricky Racoon and Gypsy Vista collided approaching the first turn. Trendy Universe, Roxy Ouzo and Weblec Thunder collided on the first turn. Roxy Ouzo checked off Trendy Universe entering the home straight.

Following the event Dream Wizard displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS).  As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria.  A 3 day stand down penalty was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr S Lithgow, the trainer of Dream Wizard.  After hearing submissions, the Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and Dream Wizard must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, plus a veterinary clearance of fitness before any future nomination will be accepted.
