A pre-race sample was taken from Innocent Gem.
Aston Select and Gypsy Andy were quick to begin. Plausible Dream was slow to begin. Roxy Rum Pumper and Innocent Gem collided soon after the start. Structure checked off Oh Suzie approaching the first turn. Plausible Dream clipped the heels of Gypsy Andy on the first turn checking Gypsy Andy and causing Plausible Dream to tail off as a result. Innocent Gem checked off Roxy Rum Pumper on the home turn. Structure faltered in the home straight and lost considerable ground as a result.
Structure was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Plausible Dream was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
