Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Nomad Road was quick to begin.  Claretown Tina was slow to begin.  Queen Lisa and Gogo Lillian collided soon after the start.  Claretown Tina contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Queen Lisa, Gogo Lillian and Rival Wiggy collided on the first turn checking Rival Wiggy.  Peccavi raced wide entering the home straight.  Reiko Shock and Nomad Road collided in the home straight.

Claretown Tina was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Inga Harry was quick to begin.  All Fear and Reiko Bingle were slow to begin.  Where's The Bees, Kanji Nano, Amron Man and Inga Harry collided on the first turn checking Where's The Bees, Kanji Nano, Amron Man, Inga Harry and Reiko Bingle.  Where's The Bees and Amron Man collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Where's The Bees.  Kanji Nano and Violet Rose collided entering the home straight.  Kanji Nano marred Violet Rose entering the home straight.  Kanji Nano and Violet Rose collided in the home straight.

Where's The Bees was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Kanji Nano was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Trainer, Ms. D. Knight, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.   Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Kanji Nano was charged with marring.  Ms. Knight pleaded guilty to the charge, Kanji Nano was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

King Chad and Silver Ambition were quick to begin.  Impatient Arty, Orson Reiko, Evident and Rocky Strike collided soon after the start checking Evident.  King Chad, Silver Ambition and Impatient Arty collided approaching the first turn.  Impatient Arty and Orson Reiko collided on the first turn.  Orson Reiko, Evident and Rocky Strike collided on the first turn checking Rocky Strike.  Orson Reiko raced wide entering the home straight.  Evident and Rocky Strike raced wide in the home straight.  King Chad and Jerry Buzzard collided several times from the home straight to the winning post.  Evident and Rocky Strike collided approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Coconino was slow to begin.  Spearhead Joe, Lil Snooze and Joyous Courage collided soon after the start checking Lil Snooze.  Always Primed, Bell Park Dragon and Lembor collided on the first turn checking Bell Park Dragon.  Coconino and Bell Park Dragon collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Lembor and Spearhead Joe collided on the home turn.  Aston Bomber raced wide entering the home straight.

An out of competition sample was taken from Major Bandit on 13th September, pursuant to GAR 79A.

The start was delayed by approximately 1 minute due to operational activities.

Flying Sonic, Wild Keyra and Trending River were quick to begin.  Major Bandit, Prince Archer and Rupert's Boy were slow to begin.  White Assassin galloped on She's Forever on the first turn.  Major Bandit, White Assassin and Trending River collided on the first turn checking Major Bandit, White Assassin, Trending River and Rupert's Boy. 

Prince Archer - Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.

Reiko Langer and Flaming Moses were slow to begin.  Flaming Moses, Rockstar Haynes and Chanko Girl collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. 

A post-race sample was taken from Reiko Haze, the winner of the event. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Reiko Bolt on 30th September, pursuant to GAR 79A.

Tinker Count was slow to begin.  Innocent Diva and Skibo Rebel collided approaching the first turn checking Skibo Rebel.  Innocent Diva and Big Fuss collided on the first turn checking Skibo Rebel, severely checking Innocent Diva and Big Fuss.  Innocent Diva, Skibo Rebel and Big Fuss collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds.

There was no vision available for this event.

Zipping Pistol was slow to begin. Zipping Pistol and Crackerjack Dirt collided soon after the start.  Crackerjack Dirt brushed the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Aston Remi tired over the concluding stages of this event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Innocent Gem.

Aston Select and Gypsy Andy were quick to begin.  Plausible Dream was slow to begin.  Roxy Rum Pumper and Innocent Gem collided soon after the start.  Structure checked off Oh Suzie approaching the first turn.  Plausible Dream clipped the heels of Gypsy Andy on the first turn checking Gypsy Andy and causing Plausible Dream to tail off as a result.  Innocent Gem checked off Roxy Rum Pumper on the home turn.  Structure faltered in the home straight and lost considerable ground as a result.

Structure was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Plausible Dream was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Riverhawk – Late scratching at 8:25am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr H.Gilders was fined $100.

Nyssa's Girl was quick to begin.  Over Load checked off Tinker Cindy on the first turn checking Falconetti.  Nyssa's Girl and Tinker Cindy collided on the first turn checking Tinker Cindy.

Meeting Comments:

Supplementary report - Following the meeting held on 15 September 2021, an autopsy was conducted on the greyhound Talk Talk Talk which was pronounced deceased by the On-Track Veterinarian following the running of Race 7. The cause of death was acute abdominal haemorrhage.
