Coconino was slow to begin. Spearhead Joe, Lil Snooze and Joyous Courage collided soon after the start checking Lil Snooze. Always Primed, Bell Park Dragon and Lembor collided on the first turn checking Bell Park Dragon. Coconino and Bell Park Dragon collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Lembor and Spearhead Joe collided on the home turn. Aston Bomber raced wide entering the home straight.
