A pre-race sample was taken from Hendrik Bale.
Digitorum,Unathi Bale and Cypress Bale collided soon after the start, checking Cypress Bale. Digitorum and Kraken Tex collided approaching the first turn. Unathi Bale and Hendirk Bale collided approaching the first turn. Kraken Tex checked off Digitorum on the first turn, causing Kraken Tex and Cypress Bale to collide. Unathi Bale faltered on the home turn and lost ground.
Unathi Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left triceps. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
