Dead Last was quick to begin.  Dundee Silk and Classy Edition collided soon after the start.  Bully Bar was checked off Dundee Silk on the first turn.  Mt. View Gem crossed out on the home turn. Bully Bar and Mt. View Gem collided in the home straight.  Classy Edition was checked off Mt. View Gem approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Starter's King. 

Mt. View Blonde and Starter’s King were very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Lemon crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Blazin’ Sushi and Candy Gem.  Candy Gem visibly eased on the first turn.  Mt. View Blonde galloped on Candy Gem on the first turn checking Candy Gem.  Starter’s King and Fancy Lily collided on the home turn.  Lemon crossed out entering the home straight and checked off He Can Talk.

Candy Gem underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. J. Musselwhite regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Candy Gem was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Musselwhite pleaded guilty to the charge, Candy Gem was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Kazoo Giblet was quick to begin.  You Nugget crossed out on the first turn and collided with Sicilian checking You Nugget, Sicilian, Elswyk Suzie and Mt. View Ivy.  Sicilian and Mt. View Ivy collided on the first turn.  You Nugget and Elswyk Suzie collided on the first turn and again on the home turn. Aussie Onyx, Weeona Evie and You Nugget collided entering the home straight checking Aussie Onyx, Weeona Evie, You Nugget and Elswyk Suzie.

Maximum Trina was quick to begin.  Elswyk Sophie and Cooped Up were slow to begin.  Highway Man and Lady Kin Lee collided on the first turn.  Maximum Trina and Crouching Tiger collided on the first turn.  Highway Man and Elswyk Sophie collided approaching the home turn.  Crouching Tiger and Elswyk Sophie collided on the home turn. Elswyk Sophie, Cooped Up and Crouching Tiger collided in the home straight.

Bella Bullish was quick to begin.  Mt. View Redgie was slow to begin.  Major Cyclone and Mt. View Redgie collided soon after the start checking Mt. View Redgie.  Major Cyclone was checked off Prince Nangana approaching the first turn.  Prince Nangana galloped on Fairytale Bliss on the first turn.  Major Cyclone, Prince Nangana, Symbol For You and Dundee Zircon collided on the first turn checking Major Cyclone, Prince Nangana and Mt. View Redgie.

Go Nera was slow to begin.  Mussa Jack was checked off Evanlee on the first turn.  Armstrong Bobby and Mussa Jack collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Waylin Bale crossed out approaching the home turn and checked off Evanlee.  Waylin Bale and Run To You collided in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Saint Bluey - the winner of the event. 

The Stewards discussed the frequency of racing of Bella Porscha with representative Mr Danny Cortese and noted their comments.

Elswyk Jordy was quick to begin.  Manila Shine was slow to begin.  Elswyk Jordy crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Bella Porscha.  Eilish’s Dream and Elswyk Jordy collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Manila Shine and Shaun John collided several times on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Bella Porscha was checked off Elswyk Jordy on the home turn.

Bella Porscha underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Grumpy Al was quick to begin.  Crispy Duck was slow to begin.  Pine Gem and Master Febey collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Stanley Boy and Grmpy Al collided approaching the first turn.  Crispy Duck and Barwidgi collided on the first turn.  Grumpy Al was checked off Crispy Duck on the home turn causing Grumpy Al and Barwidgi to collide.  Wee Gem and Grumpy Al collided entering the home straight.  Grumpy Al and Barwidgi collided in the home straight.

View Buck approaching the home turn.  Mt. View Buck crossed out on the home turn and checked off Havoc’s Legacy.  Magnetic Man crossed out on the home turn checking Magnetic Man, Big Tango, Flamin’ Sam and Strike Two.  Big Tango raced wide in the home straight.

Mighty Tuscany was slow to begin.  Way To Stand and Claretown Dermot collided approaching the first turn checking Claretown Dermot.  Way To Stand And Elswyk Rocky collided on the first turn. Claretown Dermot was checked off Car Dealer on the first turn.  Way To Stand and Elswyk Rocky collided in the home straight. 

Invictus Stella was quick to begin.  Elswyk Shadow and Heaven’s Tower collided on the first turn checking Heaven’s Tower, Carnivore and Rev The Jockey.  Elswyk Shadow and Dynamite Des collided on the first turn.  Heaven’s Tower raced wide in the home straight.
