Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Dutch Impact was quick to begin. Yeild was slow to begin.

Mepunga Mantra and Dutch Impact collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Mantra. Nagambie Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Mepunga Mantra. Dutch Impact and Viking Junior collided on the first turn checking Dutch Impact. Mepunga Mantra galloped on Montag Bale on the first turn causing Montag Bale to fall, severely checking Yield as a result. Nagambie Bale, Dutch Impact and Mepunga Mantra collided on the third turn checking Dutch Impact and Mepunga Mantra. Dutch Impact and Yield collided entering the back straight. 

Montag Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left radius and ulna fracture. Montag Bale was humanely euthanased.

Wichita Bale, Orford Bale and Lead The Way were slow to begin. 

Kempton Bale and Aston Ariarne colldied soon after the start. Aston Ariarne and Orford Bale collided approaching the first turn. Orford Bale raced wide on the first turn checking Lead The Way. Go Jack checked off Kempton Bale in the back straight and again approaching the home turn.

Orford Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and a laceration to the left hock.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Collinda Lady was slow to begin.

Fake Shot and Kalkari collided soon after the start. Kalkari and Collinda Lady collided approaching the first turn. Kalkari, Collinda Lady and Uriana Bale collided on the first turn. Kalkari and Collinda Lady collided on the second turn checking Collinda Lady and Uriana Bale. Kalkari checked off Uriana Bale on the home turn. Fake Shot and Uriana Bale collided in the home straight.

Trivet and Mars Rover collided approaching the first turn. Earthworm Jim and Weblec Cruiser collided on the first turn. Chillout Cookie, Weblec Cruiser and Mars Rover collided on the second turn. Chillout Cookie checked off Weblec Cruiser entering the back straight checking Trivet.

Emergency was slow to begin.

Blazing Fury, Inga Mia and Shivers collided on the first turn. Why Not Lilah and Emergency collided approaching the second turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Redzin.

Flying Foxy was quick to begin.

Redzin and Mahogany Queen collided on the first turn checking Redzin, Sandra's Sticker, Happy Hannah and Long Black Lass. Redzin and Happy Hannah collided entering the front straight checking Redzin, Happy Hannah and Sandra's Sticker. Mahogany Queen tired over the concluding stages. 

Eight Ball – Late scratching at 4:32pm (28 September 2021) when Mr Paul Bartolo reported the greyhound to have a webbing injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

High Action – Late scratching at 11:50am due to the greyhound not being presented (GAR 31).  Due to the circumstances surrounding the non–presentation trainer, Mr Marcus Lloyd was fined $250.

Titan Blazer, Halberd Bale and Aston Adonis collided approaching the first turn causing Titan Blazer to check off Inga Leo. Titan Blazer galloped on Inga Leo on the first turn checking Titan Blazer, Inga Leo, Halberd Bale, Ring A Ranger and Aston Adonis. Titan Blazer and Ring A Ranger collided in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample was taken from My Dewana Penny.

Darnum Dozer, Berkel Boy and Fly Havoc collided approaching the first turn. My Dewana Penny, Darnum Dozer and Fly Havoc collided on the first turn. Steel Magnolia raced wide on the first turn and collided with Berkel Boy. Darnum Dozer and Fly Havoc collided approaching the second turn. Fly Havoc and Darnum Dozer collided entering the home straight checking Darnum Dozer and Berkel Boy. 

Fly Havoc underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right dew claw injury. No stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards spoke to Handler Mr Keith Lloyd regarding the racing manners of Fly Havoc entering the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr Lloyd, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.

Emma's Image (Fail to Chase) - Field of 4, Distance 525m, Weight 26.2kg, Box 7, Placed 3rd, Time Run 30.57 - Comment: Cleared All Tracks except Bendigo.
