Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Eclipse Star.
Roll Your Eyes went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Anubis Al and Livvy’s Princess collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Autumn Haze turned its head out on the first turn checking Eclipse Star. Autumn Haze and Zipping Kingston collided approaching the home turn. Autumn Haze and Airly Cleaner collided on the home turn. Autumn Haze, Eclipse Star and Roll Your Eyes raced wide in the home straight.
Autumn Haze underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on a right front toe. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Cortese, the representative for Autumn Haze regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Autumn Haze was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Autumn Haze was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
