Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Fernando Dusty.
Boombox Hammer and Sonic Sensation were slow to begin.
Boombox Hammer, Sonic Sensation, Halo Lad and Princess Barcia collided soon after the start. Boombox Hammer crossed to the outside at the 300m mark checking Sonic Sensation and Princess Barcia. Aston Kayee and Notoriety collided at the 250m mark.
Aston Kayee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Simon Mallia regarding the racing manners of Aston Kayee at the 250m mark. After hearing evidence from Mr Mallia, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 250m mark.
Peter Reinders failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Sonic Sensation for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
