Steward's Report
Classy Stringer and Kismet Storm were slow to begin.
Classy Stringer and Feisty Nikita collided soon after the start checking Classy Stringer. Kismet Storm visably eased on the first turn. Tumbarumba Time and Lavish Pearl collided on the first turn. Feisty Nikita and Lavish Pearl collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn. Tumbarumba Time and Send Me Dizzy collided entering the home straight. Feisty Nikita and Lavish Pearl collided entering the home straight.
Kismet Storm underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right trapezius and quadriceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mrs. Melissa Mayle regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kismet Storm was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Mayle pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kismet Storm was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Duck Duck Dash - the winner of the event.
