Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Swift Brittany.
The announcement of the All Clear was delayed to allow the Stewards to review the race footage soon after the start. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were satisfied that Zipping Martina was not materially affected by any incident and the All Clear was posted.
Zipping Martina, Swift Brittany and Crymelon Comet collided soon after the start; checking Zipping Martina, causing the greyhound's muzzle to become lodged in its mouth resulting in Zipping Martina losing considerable ground. Ollie and Stay Strong collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Caviar, Swift Brittany and Full Moon Party collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Caviar, Full Moon Party and Ollie collided on the first turn, checking Zipping Caviar. Stay Strong and Swift Brittany collided approaching the home turn.
Zipping Martina underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
