Pretty Mouse was slow to begin.
Hurricane Red checked off Spritely Star on the first turn causing Hurricane Red to faulter and lose ground. Rocks Got Talent and Totally Balanced collided on the first turn checking Totally Balanced. Midnight Breeze and Snap Decision collided approaching the home turn. Pretty Mouse crossed out approaching the home turn and checked off Princess America. Totally Balanced faultered and lost ground in the home straight.
Totally Balanced underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Hurricane Red underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg wrist injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Joseph Sultana, the Kennel Representative of Hurricane Red, regarding its performance in this event. Acting under the provisions of GAR 71 and GAR 72, and taking into consideration the greyhound's previous injury history, Stewards ordered that a veterinary certificate of clearance must be presented and a Satisfactory Field Trial completed before any future nomination will be accepted.
