Steward's Report
Arby's Lucy and Rainbow City were quick to begin.
Viking Junior - Failed to pursue from box rise and was captured at the start, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr P. Galea regarding the greyhound’s racing manners from box rise. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Viking Junior was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Galea pled guilty to the charge, Viking Junior was suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127 and GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race sample was taken from Yaala Express – the winner of the event.
