Ravers Army– Late scratching at 8.39am when Mr. Luckie Karabitsakos reported the greyhound to havean infection (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start was delayed by one minute due to box maintenance. 

Aussie Bear lost ground in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a Thoraco-Lumbar injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Tessa Sand, the winner of the event. 

Rebel May Road and Double My Bubble were quick to begin. Reiko Bingle was slow to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from Memphis Rock.

Satanic Mikado was slow to begin.

Satanic Mikado, underwent a post–race veterinary examination due to frequency of racing and was found to have a split webbing on the right hindleg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

How High Austin– Late scratching at 13.17 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to Split Webbing. A14 day stand down period was imposed.

Coco Lilly was quick to begin. Jimmy Maker was slow to begin.

Grey Not Blue and Johnny One Thong were quick to begin.

Stewards spoke to representative Mr M. Briganti regarding the racing manners of Loneliness on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Briganti, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sweet Petit.

Loxton was quick to begin.

A post–race sample was taken from Big Opal Rocks – the winner of the event.

Reiko Bolt and Zipping Viking were slow to begin.

A pre-race sample was taken from My Seanna.

My Seanna was quick to begin. Wigram Road and Yohan Bale were slow to begin.

Yohan Bale faltered soon after the start and pulled up as a result. Yohan Bale underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right back muscle. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Pechey's Girl was quick to begin.

Jimali– Late scratching at 8.41am when Mr Brendan Pursell reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The start of this event was delayed by two and a half minutes due to having to holding for a harness race at Kellerberrin.

Belle Yaraki was quick to begin. Touch Of Mint was slow to begin.

Trojan Package and Trout were quick to begin. Smooth Talker was slow to begin.

Story Unfolds fell approaching the catching pen, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.

Ms. M Barber, representative, requested an early race endorsement for Back Net. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian. Back Net will compete in early races until further notice.

Mr. R Wagenaar, trainer, requested an early race endorsement for Yield. The Stewards approved the request after an examination prior to racing by the on–track veterinarian. Yield will compete in early races until further notice.

Flying Jelly was quick to begin. Golden Lester was slow to begin.

Yield turned it's head inwards approaching the winning post, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined approximately 40 minutes following race 12, no apparent injury was detected.

Stewards spoke to Mr Wagenaar, the trainer  of Yield regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Yield was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Wagenaar pleaded not guilty to the charge,Yield was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown only  and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted
