Steward's Report
Little Bit Sleek – Late scratching at 9:55am by trainer Jacqueline Greenough. When arriving on-course Mrs Greenough advised stewards that the scratching for Little Bit Sleek was mistakenly scratched from tonight's race meeting when intending to scratch Slick Sister from Sandown Park on 7/5/22. Stewards have still applied the 10 days stand down period to Little Bit Sleek and referred the matter to the Chief Steward for review.
Fabriola Ximenez – Late scratching at 15:07pm when trainer Andrea Dailly reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ultimate Avenger.
Dusty Lyn was quick to begin. Icarus Bale was slow to begin.
Hannele Bale - contacted the running rail on the first turn and again approaching the second turn. Hannele Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race sample was taken from Dusty Lyn - the winner of the event.
Supplementary Report: The Stewards have accepted that Little Bit Sleek was withdrawn in error, by connections. Under GAR 76(7), Mrs Jacqueline Greenough was issued a fined of $100 for withdrawing Little Bit Sleek for an unacceptable reason; and the stand-down period that was applied on the night, was expired as of 9 May 2022. A veterinary cerftificate was also received that stated Little Bit Sleek was fit and well - and not ill.
