Wishly Bale was quick to begin. Bolt Out and Orson Reiko were slow to begin.
Who Did That, Aston Xavier and Joyous Legacy collided approaching the first turn. Wishly Bale and Blue Chandelier collided approaching the first turn, checking Wishly Bale. Who Did That checked off Blue Chandelier on the first turn, checking Wishly Bale, Bolt Out and Orson Reiko. Who Did That and Aston Xavier collided on the first turn, checking Who Did That. Bolt Out and Impatient Arty collided on the home turn.
Orson Reiko underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right deltoid. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
