A pre-race sample was taken from Pyrenees Alpha.
Uprise was quick to begin. Reiko Langer and Ashby Swift were slow to begin.
Seabrook Short, Magic Panther and Reiko Langer collided on the first turn, causing Seabrook Short to collide with the running rail, checking Magic Panter and Ashby Swift and severely checking Seabrook Short. Magic Panther galloped on the back of Pyrenees Alpha on the first turn. Senor Senor checked off Horizon Princess in the home straight. Pyrenees Alpha and Magic Panther collided approaching the winning post. Uprise galloped on the heels of Horizon Princess approaching the winning post.
Seabrook Short underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right triangle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
