Steward's Report
Klopp galloped on Wally Hook soon after the start causing Klopp to lose ground. Shot Fossil was checked off Wally Hook on the first turn. Oseye Bale was checked off Car Dealer on the first turn. Klopp and Shot Fossil collided entering the home straight. Oseye Bale and Wally Hook collided entering the home straight. Connor Man raced wide in the home straight. Wally Hook turned its head in the home straight. Wally Hook and Car Dealer collided several times in the home straight to the winning post.
Wally Hook underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left wrist. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Galea, the trainer of Wally Hook regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1), Wally Hook was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Galea pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wally Hook was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
