Steward's Report
Gimbal – Late scratching at 9:00 am when trainer, Ms Annette Kampman reported the greyhound to have soreness in both hind legs (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Millie's Wonder was quick to begin. Aston Bandit and Destroy We Said were slow to begin.
Winlock At Large and Siala Giblet collided soon after the start. Mt. View Nancy crossed to the rail soon after the start; checking Aston Bandit; causing Aston Bandit to stumble. Siala Giblet checked off Millie's Wonder approaching the first turn. Aston Bandit checked off Destroy We Said on the first turn. Winlock At Large and Millie's Wonder collided approaching the winning post.
Aston Bandit underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
