Zurial Bale was slow to begin.
Butterfly Indee checked off Brecken Bale on the first turn severely checking Blaze Of Fire and Butterfly Indee. False Alarm and Shim Hope collided on the home turn checking False Alarm. Two Rowers turned its head outwards and marred Brecken Bale on the home turn. False Alarm and Shim Hope collided on the home turn and several times in the home straight.
False Alarm underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Raymond Henness regarding the racing manners of False Alarm on the home turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Henness, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn.
Two Rowers underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr John Caulfield, the trainer of Two Rowers regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Two Rowers was charged with marring. Mr Caulfield pleaded guilty to the charge, Two Rowers was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
