All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Reliable - Late scratching at 13:00pm when trainer, Ms Karen Pitt reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.  Stewards spoke to Ms Pitt with regards to the late scratching of Reliable; after hearing her comments stewards were satisfied and took no further action.

Ring A Ranger was quick to begin.  

Mepunga Stellar and Swing High collided soon after the start.  Northern Era and Bell Burner collided on the first turn checking Bell Burner.

Ratified and Forever A Dream were slow to begin.

Forever A Dream faltered approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result and was subsequently tailed off.  Zambora Alani and Crowdza Blest collided on the first turn.  Ratified and Crowdza Blest collided on the third turn.  Ratified brushed the running rail entering the home straight.

Forever A Dream underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Dimple was quick to begin. Run Fast Onesie was slow to begin.

Miss Angel Di and Run Fast Onesie collided soon after the start.  Saint Phoenix checked off Rush Riccarton approaching the first turn.  Saint Phoenix and Run Fast Onesie collided on the first turn.

Roxy Diva, Cherokee Cat, Seen Better and Bus Driver collided soon after the start checking Roxy Diva.  Alumni checked off Why Not Colby soon after the start.  Cherokee Cat and Seen Better collided several times from approaching the first turn to on the first turn severely checking Cherokee Cat.  Cherokee Cat contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Bus Driver, Alumni and Bell Park Dragon collided approaching the home turn.

Cherokee Cat underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Xavien Bale was quick to begin.

Bodine faltered on the first turn and lost ground and subsequently tailed off.  Rockabye Bear and Hill Top Jack collided approaching the second turn.  Barooga Dodge checked off Xavien Bale entering the back straight.  Rockabye Bear and Barooga Dodge collided in the back straight.  Weblec Whirl checked off Barooga Dodge on the third turn.  Barooga Dodge checked off Rockabye Bear on the home turn.

Bodine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back injury.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Hill Top Jack - the winner of the event.

Flying Hurricane - Late scratching at 16:28pm due to non–arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr Terrence Erenshaw informed Stewards that he had a veterinary emergency.  Stewards advised Mr Erenshaw that evidence of the veterinary treatment will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival.  The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. Supplementary Advice: Upon application from Mr Erenshaw and after receiving  further evidentary support, the Stewards accepted the circumastances and expired the 28 day standown in accordance with GAR 31 (4) on 8 June 2021.

Bearing Gold was quick to begin.  Banjo Plato, Yelredda Saint and Fly By Them were slow to begin.

Rumour Is Fact and Bearing Gold collided several times from approaching the first turn to on the first turn. Yelredda Saint and Fly By Them collided approaching the first turn.  My Dewana Penny and Amazing Roy collided on the first turn checking Yelredda Saint.  Banjo Plato and Fly By Them collided on the first turn.  Rumour Is Fact and Instinctual raced wide in the home straight.

Miss Demonica, Hacker, Layback Cruiser, Aston Dynasty and Talk Talk Talk collided approaching the first turn checking Layback Cruiser, Aston Dynasty and Talk Talk Talk.  Hacker and Nine Wine Wine collided on the first turn checking Nine Wine Wine.  Layback Cruiser and Talk Talk Talk collided on the first turn severely checking Talk Talk Talk.

Layback Cruiser underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a right hind leg laceration.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Zumi's Swagger was quick to begin.
