Tiggerlong Jet was quick to begin.  Aston Elliot went up with the lids.  Jye's Jet was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

Venus Light, Javen Bale, Grace Cabang and Golden Avatar were quick to begin.

Tiger Blurton checked off Toy Soldier soon after the start.  Grace's Cabang and Golden Avatar collided in the back straight checking Golden Avatar.  Tiger Blurton checked off Golden Avatar on the first turn. Black Beaver checked off Venus Light on the first turn.  Golden Avatar and Adesanya collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Toy Soldier tired over the concluding stages.

Golden Avatar - Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. Bruce Stirling regarding the greyhound's racing manner in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Stirling, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their own observations, a warning was issued.

Ripplebrook Rory underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a lumbo-sacral injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stacey Bott – Late scratching at 10.35am as Trainer Mr L Booth informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown. In accordance with GAR 31, a 28 day stand down period was imposed due to the non–arrival.  Stewards advised Mr L Booth that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted to the satisfaction of Stewards within 48 hours. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of that evidence. 

Impending was quick to begin.

Halwes and Secret Chimp collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Infinite Will raced wide on the first turn causing Lawson Drive, Digitorum, Majestic Way and Halwes to race wide.  Secret Chimp and Digitorum collided approaching the second turn checking Digitorum.  Majestic Way checked off Digitorum on the second turn.  Infinite Will and Secret Chimp collided on the third turn checking Infinite Will.  Digitorum and Lawson Drive collided on the third turn checking Digitorum.  Majestic Way and Digitorum collided entering the home straight.  Infinite Will and Majestic Way collided in the home straight.

Blue Zenia and Spearhead Joe were quick to begin.  Just Admit It was slow to begin.

Aston Percival and Blue Zenia collided on the first turn checking Aston Percival.  Ricky Racoon and Madame Josie collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Blue Zenia and Spearhead Joe collided on several occasions from approaching the home turn to approaching the winning post checking both greyhounds.

Space Alert underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left femur fracture.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
