Due to lighting failure the start time for this event was amended from 7:48pm to 8:08pm.
Dark Compass and Lady Fernando collided on the first turn. Happy Ruby and Pyramid Express collided on the first turn. Son Of Indy lost ground approaching the home turn. Gold Luminesce tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Son Of Indy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left deltoid muscle, left back muscle, right pencil muscle and right groin muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
