Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Jet Age.
How High Austin, Alabama Shakes and Kuta Cowboy were slow to begin. Arcanine crossed in on the first turn checking Trust I Seek and Alabama Shakes. Alabama Shakes was checked off Jet Age approaching the home turn. Peachy Went Bams crossed out, eased and turned its head out on the home turn checking Alabama Shakes. Peachy Went Bams eased and turned its head out in the home straight checking Alabama Shakes.
Peachy Went Bams underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported. Trainer Mr. C. Fulford declined his option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C, Fulford the trainer of Peachy Went Bams regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Peachy Went Bams was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge, Peachy Went Bams was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head on footage of the back straight for this event.
