Steward's Report
Runnin' Riot was slow to begin.
Grey Not Blue, New Samsation and Trout collided soon after the start checking Grey Not Blue and New Samsation. Runnin' Riot and Stride For Pride collided on the first turn checking Runnin' Riot. Black Miss and Maxi Mal collided on the first turn checking Black Miss. Black Miss lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.
Black Miss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have soreness in the left shoulder and both hips. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative, Mrs. Sandra Buckley regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Black Miss was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Buckley pleaded guilty to the charge, Black Miss was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Runnin' Riot - winner of the event.
