Steward's Report
Mt. View Jester was slow to begin.
Thylacine and Mt. View Jester collided soon after the start. Highway Man checked off Carnivore approaching the first turn. High Priority and Stunning One collided approaching the first turn causing Stunning One to fall, checking Highway Man and Carnivore as a result. Galiena Bale and Riverhawk collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Carnivore and Riverhawk collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. High Priority and Mt. View Jester collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight. Highway Man checked off Thylacine in the home straight.
Stunning One underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right deltoid muscle and the left thigh. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from High Priority - the winner of the event.
There was no head-on vision (back straight) available for this event.
