A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Burning Ella, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
How's It Alice and Burning Ella collided soon after the start. Manny Said checked off Red Nangana at the 300m mark. Bruree Man, Dundee Topaz and How's It Alice collided at the 250m mark. Burning Ella and Manny Said collided approaching the winning post. Dundee Topaz faltered approaching the winning post.
Dundee Topaz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
