Steward's Report
Tinker Luke was quick to begin. Kuta Cowboy was slow to begin.
Fallen Petal, Kuta Cowboy, Flossy Jo and Yussuf Bale collided on the first turn checking Fallen Petal and Yussuf Bale. Tinker Luke and Black Power collided approaching the home turn. Yussuf Bale raced wide on the home turn and collided with Fallen Petal which raced wide as a result. Yussuf Bale turned its head outwards and visibly eased in the home straight.
Yussuf Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Tammy Kennedy-Harris, the Trainer of Yussuf Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Yussuf Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Kennedy-Harris pleaded guilty to the charge, Yussuf Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head-on vision in the back straight for this event.
