Steward's Report
Recinder Jack - Late scratching at 1.18pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr Gregory Graham was fined $100.
Alira Gem was quick to begin. Clay Feet and Spongebob were slow to begin.
Little Kevin crossed in approaching the first turn checking Alira Gem. Alira Gem checked off Big City Nights on the first turn. Hands On Deck and Captain Warrior collided in the home straight.
Alira Gem underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Nathan Hunt, the Trainer of Alira Gem regarding its performance on the first turn. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Alira Gem must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Hands On Deck - the winner of the event.
There was no head-on vision in the back straight for this event.
