Zipping Chuck, Abernathy and Masani Bale were slow to begin.
Aston Harrison, Invictus Stella, Elarbee Sheeran, Ricky Racoon and Tai Pan Agogo collided approaching the first turn; checking Invictus Stella, Elarbee Sheeran and Ricky Racoon. Invictus Stella, Elarbee Sheeran and Zipping Chuck collided on the first turn; severely checking Invictus Stella and Elarbee Sheeran. Zipping Chuck checked off Abernathy on the home turn.
Invictus Stella underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
