Out of competition samples were taken from Weblec Ace, Barooga Smoke, Yozo Bale, Weblec Jet, Well Grounded, Junk Food Junkie, Tom The Cheap, Carry On Angel, Sweet As Emm and Mepunga Warrior on Monday, 19 April 2021 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Weblec Ace, Tom The Cheap and Carry On Angel collided on the first turn; checking Weblec Ace, Well Grounded, Carry On Angel and Sweet As Emm; causing Tom The Cheap to fall. Weblec Ace, Sweet As Emm and Junk Food Junkie collided on the second turn; checking Weblec Ace and Junk Food Junkie.
Tom The Cheap underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg triangle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Post-race blood and urine samples were taken from Weblec Jet - the winner of the event.
Post-race samples were taken from Yozo Bale (2nd) and Sweet As Emm (3rd).
