Aces And Eights was slow to begin and collided with Maverick Sandy soon after the start. No Marjen and Midnight Express collided approaching the 250m mark. Wilmont Street and Dazzling Dippy collided approaching the 250m mark. Aces And Eights faltered and lost ground approaching the 50m mark. Dazzling Dippy checked off Midnight Express approaching the 50m mark. No Marjen and Midnight Express collided approaching the winning post.
Aces And Eights underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
