Fairytale Poppy was quick to begin.

Fairytale Poppy, Eileen Jay, Maverick Blaze and Barunga Bullet collided soon after the start checking all four greyhounds. Eileen Jay and Barunga Bullet collided at the 250m mark.

Dakar was slow to begin.

Sole Elusion checked off Calico Bull soon after the start. Boes Bounty crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark and collided with Sole Elusion severely checking Boes Bounty. Calico Bull and Cosmic Ox collided several times from the 150m mark to approaching the winning post.

Representative, Ms Maria Barber failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Alfie Mikado for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Wired was slow to begin and collided with Zipping Pink soon after the start.

Deadly Walk and Boes Reward collided approaching the 300m mark. Deadly Walk checked off No Tickles approaching the 250m mark. Zipping Pink veered out at the 150m mark and turned its head. Zipping Pink collided with Beers On Brody at the 50m mark checking Tiny Shiny, and visibly eased approaching the winning post.

Zipping Pink underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Cheryl Sutcliffe, the trainer of Zipping Pink regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at the 150m mark and approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A (1) Zipping Pink was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Sutcliffe pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Pink was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aces And Eights was slow to begin and collided with Maverick Sandy soon after the start. No Marjen and Midnight Express collided approaching the 250m mark. Wilmont Street and Dazzling Dippy collided approaching the 250m mark. Aces And Eights faltered and lost ground approaching the 50m mark. Dazzling Dippy checked off Midnight Express approaching the 50m mark. No Marjen and Midnight Express collided approaching the winning post.

Aces And Eights underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Royal Burst - Late scratching at 10:41am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a left foreleg injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
