Super Rage was slow to begin.
Blackjack Cougar and Lektra Desire collided approaching the first turn. Zita and Totally Know collided approaching the home turn checking Totally Know. Totally Know and Perfect Rocky collided on the home turn. Mr. Vinnie, Make A Pat and Lektra Desire collided on the home turn. Mr. Vinnie and Make A Pat collided in the home straight. Mr. Vinnie, Make A Pat and Lektra Desire collided in the home straight. Super Rage marred Perfect Rocky in the home straight.
Super Rage underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Ivan Chircop, the trainer of Super Rage regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Super Rage was charged with marring. Mr. Chircop pleaded guilty to the charge, Super Rage was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
