Steward's Report

All Inn Pearl, Chilly Bin and Harden were slow to begin. Pacific Express, Cheeky Lomar, Manila Rose and Bag Secured collided approaching the first turn checking Pacific Express and Cheeky Lomar. Pacific Express and Cheeky Lomar collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Money On Black, Chilly Bin and Bag Secured collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Pacific Express and Cheeky Lomar collided approaching the home turn checking Pacific Express and severely checking Cheeky Lomar. Manila Rose turned it's head outwards and collided with All Inn Pearl on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Manila Rose underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound and mild thumps. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Debattista, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Manila Rose was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge, Manila Rose was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
